Property Tax Reform

Due to high property taxes, many residents are unable to achieve the American Dream of home ownership. By making sure that large businesses moving into the area are held accountable to their fair share, we will be able to lift some of this burden off the residents’ shoulders.  

For as long as I can remember, my parents, their friends and my neighbors have asked our government to lower their property taxes, and yet there has been no relief. 

In 2023 the 10-1 Republican majority Luzerne County Council voted repeatedly to give tax breaks, including 10-year no taxes paid deals, to businesses. The prior year, the voted to increase local taxes. On the Luzerne County Council, I will stop giving big businesses tax breaks and start giving them to our neighbors.
